The Charlottesville Downtown Mall is one of the most vibrant pedestrian malls in the United States, with more than 100 shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. Local Catch has installed dozens of tiny iBeacons at locations on and around the Downtown Mall. The beacons send signals to your iPhone from up to 100 away. Beacons and GPS enable the Local Catch app to receive ads, offers, information and exclusive limited-time promotions at the moment you walk by locations with beacons.

The Local Catch app doesnt spam you with notifications, nor does it require you to walk around looking at your phone to get offers. Run the app when you visit the downtown area, put your phone in sleep mode and enjoy your stroll on the Downtown Mall. Pause anytime and check the Local Catch app to see what you "hooked" when you passed locations with iBeacons.

Unlike GPS, iBeacons work INDOORS. Some of our participating merchants have additional beacons inside their location to trigger Walk-In-Specials that appear only when you come inside.

The app catches new offers ONLY when you visit Downtown Charlottesville. You "gotta be there" to get downtown offers and deals, but when youre downtown you can catch offers and share them with your friends.
